Some points to consider
- Contemporary medicine was largely inspired by plant medicine
- One should not categorize plants as universally good or bad: it does depend on the current organism’s need. Avoid prolonged supplements and consider that some beneficial plants have toxins in them. Similarly, some plant toxins may be useful to treat some conditions, but should be used in moderation, under a guidance.
- Be aware that there is a difference between a raw plant and processes supplement. Sometimes processed is safer, sometimes it is less effective.
- Be aware that teas come in variety of form. The most traditional Chinese tea is subject to fermentation. Fermented teas and other fermented food have significant effect on Gaba receptors
- Be aware that consuming some plants (leafy greens, teas) increase the alkalinity of our body while other (oils) increase acidity. Changing acidity of our food once every three days is an important tactics against many bacteria like those in UTI.
- Plant medicine, while old is still subject to exploration and evolution.
